The three-day fashion extravaganza features 12 shows showcasing the
talent of 70 new and household designers from across Africa. There
will also be a pop-up shop featuring locally manufactured fashion
products.

Emerging fashion designers that have been trained for the past nine
months under the Municipality’s Fashion Development Programme, will
also showcase at the DFF.

Chairperson of the City’s Economic Development and Planning Committee
Councillor Thembo Ntuli said the theme of the DFF speaks to the
Municipality’s Fashion Development Programme’s proud 13-year history
of making an impact on the local fashion industry.

“The DFF is one of the City’s Fashion Development Programme’s
components aimed at providing skills development, capacity building,
and access to market opportunities. The DFF showcase is proudly Durban
and encourages the public to ‘buy local’ and support the up-and-coming
talents of tomorrow,” he said.

All shows start at 6pm.
