Tropika Island of Treasure makes its triumphant return for an eleventh season, this time against the stunning backdrop of Zanzibar. The beloved reality competition show is back on your screens, and the first 5 episodes have been nothing short of riveting. The show delivers star-studded entertainment, thrilling challenges, and the biggest prize in TIOT history: a shared R1 million and a brand new Suzuki Jimny for the two members of the winning team.

Seven ordinary South Africans embark on the journey of a lifetime, trading their daily routines for the exotic island paradise. They are paired with and compete alongside an exciting lineup of celebrity contestants, Tiktoker extraordinaire Chad Jones, sports presenter  Nqobile Khwezi, former Miss SA Ndavi Nokeri, heartthrob model Karl Kugelmann, actor Hungani Ndlovu, and TV sweetheart Roxy Burger as well as smooth serenader Bobby van Jaarsveld as they battle it out in a series of exhilarating physical and mental challenges.

Hosted by South Africa’s media darling, Zanele Potelwa, the new season of Tropika Island of Treasure is bigger and better than ever, with jaw-dropping challenges, unexpected twists and heartwarming moments.

The action has been intense on the show and some teams found their heads on the chopping block as they were eliminated from the competition. Team Pineapple (Chad Jones and Ryan Cummings) saw their demise in episode 3 after losing in the bow and arrow challenge, the journey came to an end for team Tropical (Nqobile Khwezi and Gloria Ngcobo) in episode 5 after coming last in the “Pole Pole” game. Team Mixed Berries are at the head of the leaderboard Karl and Stacy and are proving formidable.

Don’t miss the action at 7:30pm on Saturday 9 November 2024 on SABC 3 with repeats on SABC 1 at 21:00pm and streaming on SABC+.
