Following the successful release of her critically acclaimed debut album
‘Hamba Ungemi’ released in November 2024, music sensation and performer, Nomabotwe is taking another leap of faith with her already illustrious music career. The singer and songwriter is set to perform in Cape Town and East London this autumn.
After 18 years of serving as a backup singer for the likes of legendary Afro Pop singer, Ringo Madlingozi, Rock Royalty, Arno Casterns and the late great Stompi Mavi. The Gqeberha born musician independently recorded and released her debut album last year, marking a new era in her career – from backup singer to lead, taking center stage. ‘Hamba Ungemi’ which means ‘Don’t stop, keep going’ when loosely translated, is a testament of the many years of horning her craft.

Nomabotwe is taking the album on tour with 2 shows in Cape Town, Western Cape and in East London, Eastern Cape. This marks the first time she will be performing since her sold-out album launch show which took place in October 2024 at Boardwalk ICC in Gqeberha. ‘Hamba Ungemi’ show is set to offer a musical experience like no other, with a full piece band, storytelling behind the music and stellar supporting acts.
